Yami appeals public to defy banda
Kathmandu: UCPN (Maoist) leader Hisila Yami has accused that the 33-party poll opposing alliance led by the CPN-Maoist was against constitution and federalism. Addressing a gathering of locals at Bangemudha in Kathmandu Constituency No 7, Yami argued the protest programme including the banda at a time to draft the constitution through Constituent Assembly means that the CPN-Maoist led alliance was against the constitution drafted by the peoples’ representatives. Claiming that the general strike called by the CPN-Maoist led alliance cannot foil the CA polls, she warned to defy their banda if it was not withdrawn immediately. She also appealed her cadres and public to resist the banda imposed by the CPN-Maoist led alliance.
