NC will take initiative for government and constitution: Singh



Kathmandu: General Secretary of the Nepali Congress, Prakashman Singh, has said that the NC would take initiative for forming a new government and promulgating a new constitution as his party had been established as the largest party in the election.
At a programme organized here today by the Party Palace Association, he said his party was for local elections within six months, and constitution in one year and then election of the president, and if there is no consensus, a democratic constitution will be formulated by following a process with coordination of democratic forces.
In another context, he said now there are talks of president’s election and it has given negative message and it is urgent for Nepali Congress and CPN-UML to discuss it seriously.
Singh said price hike will be controlled after formation of new government and problems of entrepreneurs will be addressed even if the Social Security Act has curtailed extravagant spending in parties.
