House summons PM to clarify Tanakpur comment
Kathmandu, March 3, 2014. The Constituent Assembly on Monday took an exception to Prime Minister Sushil Koirala’s alleged recent statement over Tanakpur.
Responding to arguments made by UCPN Maoist lawmaker Janardan Sharma, Speaker Subash Chandra Nembang summoned PM Koirala to respond to the concerns put forward by Sharma.
The calls came at a time when PM Koirala is on a five day visit to Myanmar. Koirala has been in controversy after some news report quoted Koirala as stating that Tanakpur lies on India-Nepal border.
