UAE has given targeted of 191 runs to Nepal
.Kathmandu, May 01. UAE has given 191 runs targeted to Nepal in the ACC Premier League Cricket opener at the Selangor Turf Club
in Malaysia on Thursday.
Nepal took an early control of the match by claiming four early wickets for 81 runs after winning the toss and deciding to bowl first. However, Swapnil Patil made 76 runs from 95 balls and Krishna Chandran Karate’s has made 36 runs off 69 balls ,well knitted batting took them to an average total in 48.1 overs.
Similarly from Nepal, Sompal Kami and Mahaboob Alam, making his return to the national side after a long gap, produced brilliant bowling disply with three wickets each. Shakti Gauchan registered two wickets in his name and Sagar Pun claimed one.
Nepal and UAE have faced nine times prior to this game with Nepal winning in only one time while UAE has defeated Nepal seven times. The remaining one game had ended in a tie.
Nepal had defeated UAE in the league stage of the ACC Trophy. The two teams were crowned jointly champions in the tournament following a tie in the final.
However, Nepal would look to continue their superb form from the recently concluded ICC World T20 which was held in the Bangalades. Both Nepal and UAE won the two matches against Hong Kong and Afghanistan and lost to host Bangladesh.
Nepal, Afghanistan, Hong Kong, Oman, UAE and hosts Malaysia are comprises in the ACC Premier League.
