Meeting of PHSC ends with inconclusive.
Kathmandu, May 18. A meeting of the Parliamentary Hearing Special Committee(PHSC) held today over the issue related to Judicial Council (JC)’s controversial recommendation for eight Supreme Court judges ended with inconclusive.
The meeting was convened after the Supreme Court issued a stay order to the PHSC’s earlier decision to summon the JC members for a hearing.
In the meeting MR. Chitra Bahadur KC has louds the concerns over the absence of JC’s members in the Parliamentary Hearing Special Committee. He raised his concerns over the absence of JC’s members. He said,” The JC’s members have been there at the Reporters’ Club Nepal for shouting their voice but why they absence in the PHSC.
Likewise, UML lawmakers duo Rabindra Adhikari and Bhim Rawal have also criticized to the JC’s members over the absence in the PHSC.Earlier, JC’s member Mr. Khem Narayan Dhungana had claimed to face any kind of charges if the PHSC investigate over our faults. He repeatedly raised his stand over the fair deed while recommendation to those eight justices in the Supreme Court. He had challenged to face the charge of power of impeachment regarding if the mistakes had done by them. He had insisted that they had done very fair and legally while recommending them.
