Four of single family killed in Lamjung
Lamjung, October 1. Four members of a single family were killed in BhoteOdar VDC-4 of Lumjung district on Tuesday night.
The deceased have been identified as 60-year-old Arjun Prasad Regmi, of Regmi Gaun of Piple, his 35-year-old adopted daughter Reena Ghimire, his daughter 14-year-old Jyoti Regmi and his adopted grandson 12-year-old Bikas Ghimire.
Police said that all the four members were murdered with a sharp weapon. Regmi and his grandson were sleeping on one bed and the two daughters were on the other, added police.
Locals said that Arjun had come home from India on September 29 to celebrate Dashain. Locals informed police about the incident after they found no one could spak when they reached the house to slaughter a goat for Dashain celebration, this morning.
A special team of police from Pokhara has now reached the incident site and started necessary investigation into the case.
Deputy Superintendent of Police in Lamjung, Achyut Prasad Pudasaini, said that investigation into the case is underway.
