Biker injured in Kailali bus hit dies at hospital

KAILALI, Apr 4: A 32-year-old man who was critically injured after a passenger bus hit the motorcycle that he was riding on in Chaukidanda of Kailali has died at a hospital on Saturday.

The victim has been identified as Hikmat Chunara from Damaura, Attariya-1 of the district. The bus with registration number Na 4 Kha 9222 was heading to to Tikapur of Kailali from Mahendranagar of Kanchanpur when it hit the bike (Se 1 Pa 2225) along the East-West Highway today.

Chanara breathed his last while undergoing treatment at Attariya-based Sewa Nursing Home, police said.

According to Inspector Kuldeep Chand, the bus has been impounded and its driver, identified as Bir Bahadur Rana from Bauniya of Kailali, have been taken in custody for investigation.
