Kathmandu, May 2: The earthquake victims in Makwanpur district have been provided 8,000 tarpaulin sheets and necessary food stuffs.
The preliminary report said that more than 10,537 houses were destroyed in the district.
Chief District Officer Ram Prasad Thapaliya said relief distribution was being carried out in coordination with political parties, former parliamentarians and Constituent Assembly members.
Similarly, 15,000 rubber mattresses provided by various social organizations were distributed to the victim families.
The district lost 34 lives. Namtar VDC alone lost 10 persons. One hundred persons injured in the quake have been receiving treatment at different hospitals in the district. RSS
