Death toll due to quake hits 8219

Kathmandu, May 13: Eight thousand two hundred and nineteen people have died so far due to the April 25 earthquake and the series of aftershocks on Tuesday.

According to the information given by the Ministry of Home Affairs a while ago, the death toll from the April 25 Gorkha quake was 8,154 and from the aftershocks that struck the country on Tuesday was 65.

Information provided by the Ministry of Health and Population states that 76 thousand 638 injured and sick people have been treated as of Tuesday, the Home Ministry stated. RSS
