Three trucks torched in Bara
Kalaiya, Sept 12: A group of 30 demonstrators torched three sugar-loaded trucks some three kilomteres away from Reliance Sugar Mill located at Manahara VDC in Bara district early this morning.
According to the District Police Office, three trucks (Na 4 Kha 2927, Na 5 Kha 8961 and Na 5 Kha 2995) were set on fire by the agitating parties’ cadres on charge of defying the strike. Property worth Rs 3.2 million was damaged in the incident. The trucks carrying 1,270 sacks of sugar were heading towards the capital city from Manahara.
The two trucks have been completely damaged in the incident. The Federal Madhesi Front Group led by Umesh Yadav has taken the responsibility of the incident, it is learnt. Investigation into the case was underway. RSS
