A members start signing on amended bill of new constitution



Kathmandu, Sept. 18: The Constituent Assembly (CA) members have started signing on the amended bill of new constitution that was passed with two-thirds majority on Wednesday.

An arrangement has been made for the CA members to sign on the corrected bill at 9:00 am to 3:00 pm at Lhotse Hall of the CA Building today in the presence of CA Chairman Subas Nembang.

Lawmakers Jiban Bahadur Shahi, Gangalal Tuladhar, Rameshwor Phuyal, Jitu Gautam and other lawmakers have signed in the first row.

The lawmakers would sign in five copies of the amended bill of the constitution printed in the Nepali paper. After the signature of the lawmakers, the CA Chairperson is scheduled to certify the constitution.

Earlier, some typographical corrections on the endorsed bill of the constitution were made. A five committee headed by Chair of CA’s Constitutional-Political Dialogue and Consensus Committee Dr Baburam Bhattarai was constituted for the same. RSS
