UML to host tea reception to mark promulgation of new constitution
Kathmandu, Sept 17: The CPN (UML) has decided to organize a tea reception on September 22 to observe the promulgation of ‘Nepal’s Constitution, 2072’.
UML Central Secretariat meeting presided by General Secretary Ishwor Pokharel took the decision to host a reception at the Dhasarath Stadium, Tripureshwor.
UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli on behalf of the party has extended invitation to political party leaders, activists, representatives from the diplomatic missions, artists, journalists, legal entrepreneurs, teachers, professors, business community, workers, athletes, military persons, civil servants, representatives of the organizations, civil society activists and Kathmandu Valley denizen for the reception to take place from 1 pm to 5 pm.
A three-member management committee has been formed to organize the tea reception headed by Secretary and Central Publicity Department Chief Yogesh Bhattarai.
The party has already called on the public and the party cadres to light lamps on September 20 – the day of promulgation of the new constitution – and hold creative programmes to suit the specialty of the concerned localities on September 21 on the same occasion, a statement issued by Publicity Department Chief Bhattarai said.
