Thakur, Yadav meet Koirala to discuss way-out

KATHMANDU: Two top leaders of the United Democratic Madhesi Front on Saturday morning held a meeting with Nepali Congress President Sushil Koirala in a bid to find an way-out to the current political crisis facing the nation.

Tarai Madhes Democratic Party Chairman Mahantha Thakur and Federal Socialist Forum-Nepal Chairman Upendra Yadav had reached Koirala’s residence in Maharajgunj this morning to discuss the ongoing political tension and a peaceful solution to it.

On Friday, the protesting alliance had announced new protest programmes claiming that there was no any meaning of holding talks with the government and the major political parties including the NC after the government tabled the Constitution Amendment Bill ignoring the UDMF demands.
