Futsal in Kathmandu shut down indefinitely

Kathmandu, Jan 14: All Futsal grounds in Kathmandu have been shut down by police indefinitely.

Futsal, that was lately becoming very popular is the valley among the youth, was attributed to leading them to gambling, drugs and bunking of classes. Increasing complaints about the same from the parents led to the shutdown of the Futsal centres in the valley, according to Metropolitan Police Circle Kathmandu spokesperson Biswa Raj Pokharel.

Futsal is type of football game played on a smaller and mostly indoor field, with fewer players than a normal football game.
