Home for mentally retarded family members
Pathari (Morang), Jan 20: A Guragain couple of Itahara VDC has constructed a house for five mentally-retarded members of a family of Sikkime Tole of the same VDC.
Dilliram and Kamaladevi Guragain of Itahata-4, Bhaudaha constructed a house for mentally-challenged Dhungana family members with the support of their son who is UK in course of overseas employment.
The house is almost ready and the Dhungana family members are making preparation to shift to the new house on February 1, Dilliram said.
The Guragain couple took the initiative to construct a house for the helpless people at the cost of Rs 1.2 million due to the effect of the RSS news story on the painful life of Dhungana couple.
There is no bound of happiness among Dhungana family members after the construction of a house with the generous support of Guragain family.
“The Guragain family is highly indebted from our side for the philanthropic support”, said Tulsiram Dhungana, father of the children living with mental disabilities.
All five children of the Dhungana couple including three daughters and two sons are living the mentally challenged life.
