Nepal-Korea Friendship Hospital launches ICU service



Bhaktapur, Jan 22: The Korea-Nepal Friendship Hospital based in Madhyapur Thimi municipality-11 has brought Intensive Care Unit (ICU) service into operation.

General Secretary of Rose Club of Korea Dr Park Chul Sung and Executive Officer of Madhyapur Thimi municipality Bhupendra Sapkota on Thursday jointly launched the ICU service.
On the occasion, Dr Park expressed his hope that the ICU service would help provide quality and accessible health services to poor and disadvantaged people and pledged to increase support in the days to come.
Executive Officer Sapkota shared that the municipality has been allocating annual budget for the operation of 50-bed hospital and has provided grant of Rs 2.8 million and loan of Rs 2.1 million to the hospital this year.
Hospital’s acting Executive Director Dr DK Rausan said the launch of ICU service at the hospital has ended the situation for locals to seek quality and complete service in expensive and distant hospitals.
