Social worker donates land for monastery



Surunga (Jhapa), Feb 10: A social worker in Shaniarjun Municipality-6 in Jhapa district has donated a plot of land worth Rs 1 million for the construction of Sordu Chhoiling Buddha Monastery.

Ganga Bahadur Tamang donated two kattha land on Tuesday amid a programme organised to mark 2852nd Manjushree Sonam Lhosar.
He also urged one and all to extend their supports for the construction of the monastery and pledged his continued support in future too.
On the occasion, former central vice-chairman of Nepal Federation of Indigenous Nationalities (NEFIN) Dipin Rai, Chairman of Monastery Management Committee Raj Bahadur Tamang, social workers DK Gurung, Lekhnath Guragain, Tek Bahadur Adhikari, Chandra Maya Ghising, Executive Vice-Chairman of Jaycees Chandra Rana and others expressed their opinions and termed Ganga Bahadur’s step as praiseworthy.
