Rally to mark World Kidney Day



Kathmandu, March 10: A rally was organized here on Thursday to mark the 11th World Kidney Day.
The rally organized by the Kidney Foundation began from Durbar Marga and concluded at Bhrikutimandap before it went around Kamaladi, Putalisdak and Padmodaya Mode.
The rally was attended by cine artists, students and members of general public. The participants were holding placards that read ‘Save Your Kidney’ and ‘Keep attention on your food intake for healthy kidney’.
Foundation’s chief advisor Neelkantha Uprety said creating public awareness was very important to save the kidney as its treatment is also getting more and more expensive of late.
Foundation Chair Dr Shakti Basnet said around three million people of Nepal have been afflicted from kidney related ailments on one way or another.
