Talchavandel elected chair of NRCS Sindhupalchowk
Melamchi, March 13: Rajendra Man Talchavandel has been elected the Chairman of Nepal Red Cross Society (NRCS) Sindhupalchowk chapter by getting 86 votes. Talchavandel had also served the NRCS Sindhupalchowk in the same capacity in the outgoing working committee.
Talchavandel was elected to the post by defeating his rival Shiva Prasad Lamichhane in the election process held under the 22nd district convention on Saturday. Lamichhane managed 17 votes out of 105 votes casted.
It is said that other office-bearers would be appointed from the executive members of the 12-member committee.
After his election to the chair, Talchavandel said that he would work with new programmes for the prosperity of the earthquake survivors in the district.
