Wildfire in Taplejung yet to be doused
Taplejung, March 13: A wildfire engulfing a national forest at Dhuseni of Dokhuma in Phunling since Saturday evening is yet to be taken under control.
A large section of forests has been burnt down while valuable medicinal herbs worth thousands of rupees were destroyed.
Local resident Rup Narayan Bhattarai said that efforts were underway to douse the inferno with the help of a fire engine, Nepal Police, Armed Police Force and Nepal Army.
He, however, said that nearby human settlements are out of risk.
