Rs 5 million plus collected in Baglung Kalika Temple



Baglung, March 14: The Baglung Kalika Temple, a famous religious shrine in Baglung district, has collected more than Rs 5 million offerings known as bheti in the past eight months.

The Temple Guthi Management Committee said that more than Rs 5.05 million in offerings was collected at the temple from the pilgrims till the first eight month of the current fiscal year.
Last year, the committee received just Rs 4.1 million in offerings from the temple as the responsibility of the Pooja management was given to the outsider in an annual contract. But, the practice of contract system for Pooja management was replaced from this fiscal year.
Chairman of committee Raju Khadka said that details of incomes and expenses have been maintained after the committee started to handle the job of Pooja management.
