National unity must for constitution implementation: Dahal
Dolakha, March 15: UCPN (Maoist) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said that there was a need of national unity for the implementation of the new constitution
At the ninth anniversary ceremony of ‘Hamro Radio’ 103.4MZ at Charikot today, Chairman Dahal said that the new constitution is changeable as some issues are still remaining to be included in it.
He said, “National Convention of the Nepali Congress has been recently concluded. We are now holding discussion for national unity.”
Chairman Dahal expressed belief that Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli’s China visit would be very fruitful on the issue of diversity of trade and reducing dependency.
He also suggested that the working procedure issued by the government to make the National Reconstruction Authority accountable towards the people should be revised.
Stating that a national media policy was necessary to make media systematic, Dahal said that such policy would maintain relevance and discipline of the media.
On the occasion, Srijana Khadka was honoured with ‘Hamro Radio Lalitadevi Memorial Award’, and Rajendra Kumar Shrestha of Sagarmatha Television with ‘Bhesh Kumari Khadka Memorial Journalism Award’. Each award carries a purse of Rs 5,000.
