Nepal has multi-faceted relation with India: Dr. Khadka



Kathmandu, Aug 17: Ruling Party, Nepali Congress leader and ex-minister Dr Narayan Khadka said that Nepal has a multi-faceted relation with India since ancient time and the concerns shown by India on developments in its neighbourhood with positive thinking should not be seen as constituting ‘interference’.

CPN (Maoist Centre)’s leader Prabhu Saha stressed on reviewing Nepal’s relations with India in the new context and said that projects operated with the partnership of both countries should be for the benefit of both.

CPN (UML) lawmaker Dr Rajan Bhattarai informed that the Eminent Persons Group having the participation of both countries has forwarded works for implementing and reviewing the agreements signed between Nepal and India.

Bhattarai stressed that the next agenda of both the countries should be focused on economic sector.

Leader of the Madhesi Janadhikar Forum (Democratic) Jitendra Dev said there is a need of conceptual change in Nepal’s relations with India stretching from the 1960s. Nepal’s interests lie only in further deepening its relations with India, he added.
