Obstructed Parliament will be resumed unless the amendment bill is withdrawn: Oli

KATHMANDU, Jan 8: KP Sharma Oli, chairman of the main opposition party CPN-UML, warned his party would oppose strongly if the constitution amendment bill is forcefully forwarded in the parliament as it is against national interest.

Speaking at the party parliament meeting on Sunday, Oli accused Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda led government to have caused chaos by giving sensational statements about the opposition parties and insisted on resuming the obstructed Parliament only if the amendment bill is withdrawn.

The UML has been disrupting Parliament proceedings over the bill since the first week of December.
