‘Home stay facility for tourists’ suggested in Patan Durbar area

KATHMANDU, Jan 23: Participants of a seminar organized in Lalitpur today have suggested developing home stay facility in the traditional houses adjacent to Patan Durbar Square area to retain the stay of the tourists visiting this historical site.
Representatives from various 42 Tole Sudhar Samiti or the locality reformation committee and civic society leaders taking part in the one-day event further underscored the need to devise three-day of home-stay scheme for the tourists so that they could observe as many as historical heritages, local cultural and traditional aspects of Lalitpur.
Tourism expert Dr Surendra Bhakta Pradhananga highlighted the prospects of home-stay tourism around Patan Durbar Square and its impact for the promotion of Lalitpur’s tourism.
Furthermore, Lalitpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) President Sabin Shrestha voiced the need to develop home-stay programme in Lalitpur.
The seminar, organized by LCCI, was themed on development of home stay tourism in Lalitpur district .RSS
