KATHMANDU, Jan 27: Member of parliament and Influential leader of Maoist center Aman Lal Modi has warned that if the government fails to address the demands of Indigenous people, Tharu, Madheshi, Magar and other Janajati, the country may see another rebellion.

“The government must address the injustices done to the Tharu people. The Tikapur incident is just an example. If the issues of Madheshi, Magar, Indigenous and Janajati are not addressed, no power can stop the next rebellion,” he said during a face to face interaction program organized by the Reporters’ Club Nepal presided by the Club’s President Rishi Dhamala.

“The rebellion will follow if the Tharus of Kailali, Kanchanpur, Jhapa, Morang, Udayapur and Saptrai are not given a single state,” he warned, “Announcement of election date without addressing our demands will not be acceptable to us.”
