Bangladesh posts 258-run target for Nepal
KATHMANDU, March 28: Host Bangladesh has set a 258-run target for Nepal in the second match of the ongoing ACC Emerging Teams Cricket Tournament being held at Sheikh Kamal International Cricket Academy on Tuesday.
Losing the toss and batting first, Bangladeshi U23 team scored 257 runs in 50 overs at the loss of nine wickets. Bangladeshi Nasir Hussein (not out) hit a ton and nine from 115 balls while Captain Mominul Haque scored 61 runs from 78 balls.
For Nepal, Abinash Karna took three wickets, Sandip Lamichhane claimed two wickets and Mehabub Alam, Captain Gyanendra Malla and Dipendra Singh Airi took one wicket each.
Nepal must win the match to hold in the tournament. Earlier in the competition, Nepal was defeated by Pakistan by six wickets. Nepal will play against Hong Kong on Thursday.
