Two killed in wild elephant attack in Saptari
KATHMANDU, April 4: Two people were killed and five others were injured in a wild elephant attack in Hanumannagar bazar in Saptari on Tuesday.
The elephant entered the town form Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve and terrorized the locals while killing Roshan Jha and Sanjay Saafi. Jha and Saafi breathed their last while undergoing treatment at BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences in Dharan.
Among the five injured, one is in critical condition, according to local authorities. The town has been shut and the authorities are trying to chase away the elephant out of settlement area.
