Reporters’ Club Nepal celebrates its 19th Anniversary
KATHMANDU, April 8: Reporters’ Club has celebrated its 19th Anniversary amid a special function on Saturday at Rastriya Shabha Griha, at Exhibition Road in Kathmandu.
Reporters’ Club Nepal, which was launched by late former Prime Minister Krishna Prasad Bhattarai in 1998 (2054 BS), has been actively involved in social media since its establishment. The Club has dedicated itself in delivering trustworthy news and advocating for democracy and rule of law, and thence has won hearts of millions of people living in Nepal and across the world.
Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, CPN-UML senior leader and former Prime Minister Jhal Nath Khanal, CPN-UML senior leader and former Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal, Former Chairman of council of Ministers Khil Raj Regmi, Senior leader of BJP and coordinator of Eminent Persons Group (EPG) Bhaghat Singh Koshyari, Bharatiya Janta Party leader Vijay Jolly, Ambassador of India to Nepal Manjiv Singh Puri, Coordinator of United Rastriya Prajatantra Party Nationalist Chief Election Commissioner Ayodhi Prasad Yadav, Minister for Information and Communication Surendra Kumar Karki, Minister for Law and Justice Ajay Shankhar Nayak, Minister for Population and Environment Jaya Dev Joshi among other dignitaries had attended the function.
Also during the program, PM Dahal along with Club’s President Rishi Dhamala and other present dignitaries had jointly released the Club’s annual publication titled ‘Jana Manma Nirbachan’. PM Dahal also inaugurated the Club’s new website amid the function.
The Club also honored various individuals from different fields in the occasion.
