Govt declares public holiday on Monday and Friday


KATHMANDU, April 16: A cabinet meeting on Sunday has decided to declare public holiday on Monday (April 17) and Friday (April 21), the days President Bidya Devi Bhandari will embark on her five-day State visit to India and return to Nepal, respectively, according to Law Minister Ajay Shankhar Nayak.

This is her first trip to India after assuming office in 2015. Bhandari, who will be there at the invitation of President Pranab Mukherjee, will hold talks with PM Narendra Modi and other leaders.
