President Bhandari extends best wishes on Buddha Jayanti

KATHMANDU, May 10: President Bidya Devi Bhandari has extended best wishes to all Nepalis, including the Buddha community, on the occasion of the 2561st Buddha Jayanti today.

In the message of best wishes, President Bhandari said, “Once we internalize the Buddha philosophy, internal peace and fraternity are unavoidable.”

“I wish the Buddha Jayanti inspired all for peace, harmony, coexistence and non-violence,” she said, adding that the precepts of the Lord Buddha are inspiring and exemplary.

The Buddha’s principles would be useful for Nepal’s campaign of fostering national unity, harmony and tolerance with durable peace, good governance, and building democratic, proportional, and inclusive society. RSS
