Pokhara-Lekhnath Metropolitan City will be made safe city: Mayor GC

POKHARA, May 29: Mayor of the Pokhara-Lekhnath Metropolitan City, Man Bahadur GC, has said that he would carry out works so as to give a feel of good governance in the metropolis.

Speaking in the first public function after taking oath of office at a program organised by the Republic Day Main Celebration Committee, Pokhara, here today on the occasion of the 10th Republic Day, Mayor GC expressed determination that works would be carried out in order to give a result of making happy and prosperous metropolis within 10 days.

He expressed that Pokhara-Lekhnath Metropolitan City would be made a safe city of the country, adding the country has been heading towards the path of constitution implementation after the first round of local-level election.

Similarly, Regional Administrative, Yam Kumari Khatiwada, Chief District Officer of Kaski, Hari Prasad Mainali, president of Federation of Nepali Journalists, Kaski, Dipendra Shrestha, among others also expressed their views.

A blood donation program was also organised on the occasion. RSS
