KATHMANDU, June 6: Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba has said the decision of the Election Commission was accepted regarding the unexpected dispute over the vote counting of the Bharatpur Metropolitan City.

In his special address to the Legislature-Parliament session today, he said the issue of whether resuming the counting or conducting the re-election had already entered the court and he had no further opinions about it.

The lone candidate in the race of the upcoming prime ministerial election, NC president and three-time Prime Minister said he personally and a new government to be formed under his leadership was committed to holding the second-phase of local-level election (fixed for June 28) on the scheduled date.

Stating that there was no need for any political party to give the lecture to the party on the issues of nationality, democracy and socialism, leader Deuba ruled out the possibility of any compromise on the issues of national sovereignty and integrity.

The local-level election was the first condition for the enforcement of the constitution, he said.
