Vice-President Pun leaves for China

KATHMANDU, JULY 4: Vice President Nanda Bahadur Pun today left for China leading a high level delegation.

VP Pun will take part in the ‘234rd China – Lanzhou Investment and Trade Fair’. Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba, House Speaker Onsari Gharti, ministers, chiefs of constitutional bodies and representatives of the foreign diplomatic missions bade farewell to VP Pun at the VVIP lounge of the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA).

The Fair is taking place at China’s Gansu Province. The Vice President will deliver a keynote speech on July 6 at the high level forum for development and cooperation. The address will focus on the modern Silk Road and the dynamics of cooperation.

Pun will also address a seminar on Nepal – China Exchange of Economic and Trade Cooperation on July 7. He is also scheduled to hold meetings with top Chinese leaders and officials.

Vice President Pun will also visit the Shanxi and Yunnan provinces and hold meetings with the leaders. The Vice President will return home on July 10. RSS
