Lawmakers demand for establishing Area Administration Office in each rural municipality

KATHMANDU, July 4: Lawmakers, taking part on the discussion in Appropriation Bill-2074 BS in today’s meeting of the Legislature -Parliament, have demanded for establishing an area administration office in each rural municipality.

They have urged the government to develop the infrastructures in new cities, to focus on clearing the arrears, to make the Home Ministry administration effective, to amend the Labour Act and to bring Disaster Act.

The topic wise discussion was held in group over the issues related to Urban Development Ministry, Home Ministry, Labour and Employment Ministry, Finance Ministry, Education Ministry and Law, Justice and Parliamentary Ministry.

Nepali Congress lawmaker Ram Hari Khatiwada opined for ending a wrong practice of politicizing in police administration. CPN (Maoist Centre) lawmaker Ram Narayan Bidari said that the children need more budget.

Similarly, MC’s lawmaker Harilal Gyawali opined for ending the trend of allocating the budget under the political influence.

Nepal Workers and Peasant Party lawmaker Prem Suwal urged the government to bring the bill related to Khwap University.

CPN (UML) lawmaker Ranju Kumari Jha urged the government to set up at least one university in each province.

The UML lawmaker Dr Ganesh Man Gurung also stressed on developing the curriculum including the moral education along with political subject matters.

The next meeting of the Parliament is scheduled for 11:00 am, July 5: RSS
