KATHMANDU, Aug 28: NP Saud, leader of the ruling party Nepali Congress (NC), has said that his party will form election alliance with all the political parties except CPN-UML in the  Province 2 local level election.

Speaking at an interaction program organized by the Reporters’ Club Nepal on Monday, leader Saud added that NC has kept Rastirya Janata Party Nepal (RJPN) as top priority for the upcoming local election slated for September 18. “Bimalendra Nidhi is handling this matter,” he added.

He also claimed that NC would emerge as the largest party in the third phase local polls. He added, “Terai-Madhes is the foundation of Nepali Congress. Our party is certain to win in many local units.”

Commenting on Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Dueba’s India visit, Saud claimed that the prime minster had signed no deals that are against the national interest. He also said that Deuba’s raising the issue of constitution amendment in New Delhi was not a big deal.
