MC looking for alliance with Madhes-centric parties, not NC or UML: Poudel

KATHMANDU, Aug 28: CPN (Maoist Center) leader Devendra Poudel has said that his party is seeking to form alliance with Madhes-centric parties for the upcoming Province 2 local level election slated for September 18.

“We are looking for alliance with Madhes-based revolutionary parties like Rastriya Janata Party Nepal, Federal Socialist Forum and Nepal Loktantrik, not Nepali Congress or CPN-UML,” said leader Poudel while speaking at an interaction program organized by the Reporters’ Club Nepal on Monday.

Leader Poudel, on the occasion, backed Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba stating that no any agreement against the national interest was made during his visit to India.

He, however, argued that Deuba should not have raised the issue of constitution amendment in India as it was purely a matter of internal affairs.
