KATHMANDU, Oct 29: CPN-UML leader Som Prasad Pandey has asserted that the upcoming federal and provincial elections scheduled for November 26 and December 7 should not be deferred at any cost.

Speaking during an interaction program organized by the Reporters’ Club Nepal on Sunday, leader Pandey said that there have been some doubts on timely elections due to the Supreme Court’s ruling on ballot papers. “But the Election Commission is capable of holding the twin elections on the announced date. The elections will be held on time,” he added.

Arguing that the left alliance was the national need, leader Pandey claimed that the left alliance will harbor two-third votes in the upcoming polls. He further added that the two communist parties allied to produce an stable government and end all the political crisis in the country.
