KATHMANDU, Nov 1: Nepali Congress President and Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba and Chairman of Rastriya Prajatantra Party and Deputy Prime Minister Kamal Thapa on Wednesday held discussions regarding ticket distribution of the elections to the House of Representatives and State Assemblies.

During the meeting held at Baluwatar, Chairman Thapa objected over the issue of candidacy filed by Nepali Congress in Jhapa -3 against the agreement signed between NC and RPP.

The NC has made its former General Secretary Krishna Prasad Sitaula as the candidate while RPP’s Rajendra Prasad Lingden is also contesting from the same constituency.

On the occasion, an understanding has been reached between the two leaders to compete in a friendly manner, said RPP Spokesperson Bhuwan Pathak.

As per the past agreement, the NC has agreed to give seven seats at the House of Representatives and 20-25 seats at State Assemblies, said Pathak. RSS
