Vice President Pun, leaders express best wishes on Democracy Day

KATHMANDU, Feb 19: Vice President Nanda Bahadur Pun has congratulated and expressed his best wishes to all Nepali sisters and brothers on the occasion of the National Democracy Day, 2074 BS.

In a message today, he has recalled the great warriors for their sacrifices during the struggles for democracy.

In the message, Vice President Pun has said that the country has entered the new era of economic prosperity, and political stability has been established after the end to the longstanding political instability with the formation of the new governments in all levels–local, provinces and federal–after the elections.

Pun has also appealed to all sides, governments of all levels and political parties to forge an understanding for economic prosperity in the country by further strengthening country’s nationality, geographical indivisibility, national sovereignty and people’s freedom in this prideful moment of the National Democracy Day.

Meanwhile, Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba has said that activation of the Constitution of Nepal and its institutionalization would be true tribute to the martyrs.

In a message on the occasion of the National Democracy Day, NC President Deuba has recalled the contributions and sacrifices of many warriors who sacrificed their lives for the establishment and reestablishment of democracy in different phases in the country.

Likewise, Chairman of Rastriya Prajatantra Party (Prajatantrik) Pashupati Shumsher JBR and Chairman of Unified Rastriya Prajatantra Party (Rastrabadi) Dr Prakash Chandra Lohani have also expressed their best wishes to all on the occasion of the National Democracy Day. RSS
