Prime Minister Oli inducts four ministers into his cabinet
KATHMANDU, Feb 26: Prime Minister K P Sharma Oli has inducted four more ministers into his cabinet on Monday.
Prime Minister Oli appointed Ishwor Pokhrel and Yuvaraj Khatiwada from CPN-UML and Ram Bahadur Thapa and Matrika Yadav from CPN (Maoist Center) into his already three member cabinet.
Pokhrel will head the Ministry of Defense and Khatiwada, former governor of Nepal Rastra Bank and Vice-Chairman of Nepal Planning Commission will head the Ministry of Finance and Planning.
Likewise, ministers from Maoist Center Thapa will head Ministry of Home Affairs whereas Yadav will take Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies.
President Bidya Devi Bhandari administered oath of office and secrecy to the newly appointed ministers at the office of President in Sital Niwas at 4 pm.
Oli had already appointed Lal Babu Pandit as the Minister for Population and Environment and Thammaya Thapa Magar as the Minister for Women, Children and Social Welfare.
