Dhamala tells media to carry out activities focusing on development agendas

KATHMANDU, March 7: Reporters’ Club Nepal President Rishi Dhamala has urged all the media to carry out activities focusing on the economic agendas and development so that the province governments would become stronger in future.

“The media should play a strong role to make all the provinces developed and prosperous. The journalism activities should be development-oriented. Media should raise the issues of economy and development, and help eradicate social evils and corruption to meet people’s aspiration of developed and prosperous country,” said Dhamala addressing the Club’s Province 2 provincial level Assembly in Janakpur on Wednesday.

“Reporters’ Club, a media forum, will also present itself for the same,” he added.

“The branches of the Club based in all eight districts of Province 2 should make the agenda of development and prosperity its focus.”

On the occasion, the Reporters’ Club also formed a 13-member province committee to make its activities smoother in the province.
