Pokhara University to start Masters’ degree classes on hydro-power engineering

KATHMANDU, June 6: The Pokhara University is to start Master’s degree classes on hydro-power engineering under the Faculty of Science and Technology.

As stated by Faculty Dean Buddhiraj Joshi, the hydropower development sector is gradually booming in the country, but there is the situation for seeking and hiring foreign human resources. The University hopes that it decision to operate the Master’s degree classes on the subject would help address the human resources crisis in the field concerned.

The classes will start from the upcoming Nepali month of Bhadau (August-September).

It may be noted that the Tribhuvan University (TU) has already started MST classes on hydro-power engineering from the current academic session.

The PU charges around Rs 400,000 for the completion of this course and 20 seats have been allotted this time. Bachelor’s degree in civil or agriculture or rural development engineering is compulsory to get the admission. RSS
