Nepal’s first ODI kicks off
KATHMANDU, Aug 1: The first one-day international (ODI) cricket match of Nepal has just begun in the Netherlands today.
Nepal is playing the host at the VRA ground in Amstelveen of the Netherlands. The host has opted for batting after winning the toss.
Nepal achieved the ODI status after finishing second in the ICC World Cricket League Division II competition in early April this year.
Paras Khadka is leading the Nepal team including Anil Kumar Shah, Basant Regmi, Dipendra Singh Aire, Gyanendra Malla, Karan KC, Lalit Bhandari, Lalit Rajbansi, Arif Sheikh, Rohit Kumar Poudel, Sandip Lamichhane, Shakti Gauchan, Sharad Bheswakar, Sompal Kami and Subas Khakurel.
Nepal will play two ODIs against the Netherlands. The second match will be held in Amsterdam on August 3.
