Prosperity only after women empowerment: CM Raut

MAHENDRANAGAR, Aug 17: Chief Minister of Province-2 Lal Babu Raut has said that the prosperity in the province could not be achieved unless women were made rich and empowered.

Addressing the second girls’ assembly 2075 BS here today, chief minister Raut opined that women and girls should not be neglected in any spheres. He added that realizing the importance of women in any area for social harmony and prosperity, the provincial government was working out to introduce women friendly program.

He said, “Women were being cheated since long under different pretexts and contexts.” Raut shared that the police act to be introduced by provincial government had the provision of 50 per cent reservation to women aimed at empowering the women and increasing their participation in security forces as well.
