Lalbakaiya boat capsize – two bodies found
GAUR, Aug 26: Two dead bodies were fished out from the Lalbakaiya River in which a boat carrying over 25 people capsized on Saturday evening.
According to the police, bodies of two women– Runa Kurmi Patel of Ishanath municipality-3 and Shanti Devi Saha of Gaur municipality-4 — were recovered today. Three people remain missing.
The missing ones are Om Prakash Chandrabanshi, Indudevi Patel and Usma Patel, Superintendent of Police Kedar Dhakal said. Among them, Om Prakash was an assistant sailor.
The boat capsized at Tikuliyaghat of Gaur municipality-4 after hitting a pillar erected in course of the construction of a bridge over the Lal Bakaiya River as it was en route to Gaur from Aurhiya of Ishanath municipality.
Twenty one were rescued alive. The Nepal Police, Nepal Army, Indian Army and the locals continued combined search efforts for the search and rescue. RSS
