President Bidya Devi Bhandari departs for Myanmar (PHOTO FEATURE)
KATHMANDU, Oct 12: President Bidya Devi Bhandari has left for a 5-day official visit to Myanmar. Prime Minister K.P.Sharma Oli and Vice-President Nanda Bahadur Pun were there to see off the President.

The President flew in a helicopter to the airport from her official residence as the roads were clogged with post-Dashain traffic.

President Bhandari who is visiting Myanmar on the invitation of her counterpart President Win Myint will also meet the State Counsellor and Nobel laurate Aung San Suu Kyi. They will hold bi-lateral talks and strengthen Nepal-Myanmar ties.

President Bhandari is also said to visit the Nepalese diaspora of Myanmar and visit the historical sites of Yangon. The President is accompanied by the Minister for Foreign Affairs Pradeep Gyawali.
