Thieves steal cash, jewelry from lawmaker’s house in broad daylight

KATHMANDU, Nov 1: A group thieves broke into the rented apartment of lawmaker Rajendra Gautam in Kathmandu-10, Devinagar and stole money and jewelry worth lakhs of rupees in broad daylight on Wednesday.
The thieves stole 2.5 tola gold ornament, a silver plate and Rs 1,05,000 cash from Gautam’s House when he and his wife were away at work, reported Gautam.
The theft took place around 2 to 4 am in the afternoon, according to Gautam.
The police are carrying out further investigation into the theft.
Gautam is a representative from Sankhuwasabha district at the House of Representatives.
