Bangladeshi President Hamid arrives in Pokhara

POKHARA, Nov 14: President of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh Mohammad Abdul Hamid, who is presently on the four-day official goodwill visit to Nepal, has arrived in Pokhara on Thursday.

Bangladeshi President Hamid arrived in the tourism city through a Nepal Army helicopter today morning. Gandaki Governor, acting Chief Minister, minister and people’s representatives and high ranking government officers had received Hamid at the Pokhara Airport.

The general public, including representatives of mothers’ groups, civil society and Tole Development Committees also welcomed the visiting President from Pokhara airport to Fishtail Lodge.

After taking a short rest at the lodge, President Hamid boated at the Phewa Lake.

He is also scheduled to reach the Rupakot Resort at Rupa Rural Municipality via Nepal Army helicopter and enjoy sight-seeing of fascinating views of Pokhara from the altitude.

He will return to Kathmandu later in the afternoon.
