Tremendous Gaurika in Swimming: Nepal bags more gold in SAG 2019
KATHMANDU: The 9th day took Nepal’s gold tally to 49 gold and a total of 195 medals.
The 13th South Asian Games (SAG) held simultaneously in Kathmandu, Pokhara, and Janakpur concludes tomorrow.
Gaurika Singh added to her list of Gold, winning the 100 m freestyle swimming in 58.13 seconds. She has now won 4 gold medals in swimming.
Yesterday Sangita Dhami scored first and historic gold medal for Nepal in Wrestling under the 55 kilograms (kg) category.
Nepal performed exceptionally in the weightlifting events, winning medals in 16 out of the 20 events with 2 gold.
Earlier today Nepal had registered wins in Boxing that ended a 20-year long wait for a gold medal.
